Mr. Ronnie Guilford is our Veteran Spotlight for N

Mr. Ronnie Guilford is our Veteran Spotlight for November. Born in Beaufort County NC, he was one of nine children. He was the first in his family to serve in the military. He enlisted at the age of 19 “to stay out of trouble.” He decided to join the Army. He did his basic training at Fort Dix in NJ. He then went to Maryland to get special training for track wheel vehicle maintenance and repair. After training he was stationed at Fort Bragg NC where he served the remainder of his four years doing mechanic work for the Army. He says the Army taught him mechanical skills that he used later when he returned home. He got a job as a mechanic and continued in that field of work at home. He says what the army taught him the most was how to respect people. He is proud to have served his country.
